Welcome to Diamond K Goats. We own a small family farm located on the westcoast of Florida in a little town called Punta Gorda, (ground zero for Hurricane Charley in 2004). We raise and sell long coated fainting goats and fainting goat crosses with Nigerian Dwarfs, La Mancha and Boers. Also on the farm are Ellie Mae a mini donkey, Pudge, Avi, Misty and Mini B our cats, Louise (Weasle) and Lucy (Goose)our dogs, and some chickens. Oh, and one old horse(31 yrs.) named Lacey. Our youngest son also raises cattle. Check out the handmade goat milk soaps at Sunburst Soap Company located to the left of this page.
My name is Joan, and I have lived in Punta Gorda my whole life and so has my husband, Rick. We have two boys, the oldest, Matt (25) has gone to Culinary School and is working on starting his own catering business and the youngest , Mike (21) is a Firefighter/EMT in Lake County, FL. I am a stay at home mom and a photojournalist with the local newspaper. My husband is the Director of Public Works for the City of Punta Gorda. I have been raising goats for about 15 years now and I think I have had anything and everything that can happen to a goat, happen to my goats! I have been a 4-H leader for the past 10 years and yes, I bleed green! I hope you enjoy the site, it is still a work in progress. Thanks for looking!
